Where can I pick up my packet?
Packet Pick up for the Harrisburg Mile is available on Wednesday July 10, Thursday July 11, Friday July 12, Monday July 15 and Tuesday July 16 at Strawberry Square from 11-1:30pm and at the West Shore Y from 4:30-6:30pm. It is also available race day, Wednesday July 17 from 4-5:30pm at the East Shore YMCA. No other arrangements will be made.
Where is the race?
The Millers Mutual Harrisburg Mile follows a one-mile USA track and field certified course (PA 12036WB) on Front Street in Harrisburg. The starting line is at Front & Maclay Streets by the Governor’s Mansion. The Half Pint Half Mile starts just south of Hamilton Street. All participants are responsible for getting to the starting line prior to their event heat. The finish line is at Front & Boas Streets.
Where is the Harrisburg YMCA located?
The Harrisburg YMCA is located at 701 North Front Street in Harrisburg.
Directions to YMCA:
FROM RT. 83 - Take the Second Street exit. Continue along Second Street until you reach the traffic light at the intersection of North and Second Streets. Turn left at this light. The main entrance of the YMCA is located a half block down on the left.
FROM RT. 81 - Take the Front Street exit. Continue down Front Street towards Harrisburg. The YMCA is located on your left just past the traffic light at Front and Forster Streets. Turn left onto North Street. The YMCA main entrance is immediately on your left.
What about parking?
Parking is available on the streets surrounding the YMCA as well as at the start and finish areas. The parking lot at the YMCA will also be open for the event, however space is limited. The lot is located off of Second Street, behind the YMCA. The parking lot entrance is on the left just past the intersection of North and Second Streets.
Where can I change before the race?
Locker rooms, with shower facilities, will be available for participants at the Harrisburg YMCA, located at Front and North Streets.
Cancellation & Postponement Procedures
The 32nd annual Millers Mutual Harrisburg Mile is a rain or shine event, so come prepared. If, for some outside chance, there happens to be a national disaster or severe weather issue, participants will be notified the following ways.
1. Participants can check the homepage of this website. All information concerning the race will be updated throughout the day with a final decision being made by race officials no later than 5pm.
2. Look for a mass email notification sent to all preregistered participants no later than 5pm.
3. Turn to Cumulus and other local media stations for announcements regarding the race.
