General Event Overview

The 32nd Annual Millers Mutual Harrisburg Mile will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2013, beginning at 6 p.m. in Harrisburg. All proceeds benefit youth and child care programs for the East Shore YMCA Branch.

Event Details

The race follows a one-mile USA track and field certified course along Front Street, from the starting line at Maclay Street to the finish line at Boas Street. The Half Pint Mile will start just south of Hamilton Street.

All proceeds from the Millers Mutual Harrisburg Mile benefit the youth and childcare programs at the East Shore YMCA, helping families receive affordable, yet high quality care for their kids.

Event History

The Harrisburg Mile was founded in July of 1982 by the Harrisburg office of Smith Barney. The leadership baton for the Harrisburg Mile has been passed to Millers Mutual, a long-time supporter of the area's event.
